Elaine McGinty, CEO of Phoenix Cultural Centre CIC, said: “We are thrilled that EcoWorld are able to provide us with this generous temporary space right across the street from the tiny venue where we started out. We’re excited to be able to continue and increase our mission of supporting and promoting the arts and equality in opportunity in the local community and beyond. Woking is a diverse town with a rich cultural heritage made by the communities who are born or travel here to make their homes, work or socialise and we want everyone to be part of making this happen, creative expression is a human behaviour not a skill for a few people. This is an exciting and major step to getting Woking the music venue and grassroots cultural centre its community deserves.”

Lisa Gledhill, Managing Director at EcoWorld, said: “EcoWorld has a long-term commitment to Woking. We are delighted to have been able to provide Phoenix Cultural Centre with a temporary home which will enable them to continue their vital work in the community. We believe that investing in culture and the arts is an important part of creating sustainable communities, and we are committed to continue supporting and collaborating with organisations like the Phoenix Cultural Centre in their efforts to uplift and leave a lasting positive impact in Woking.”
