WRITE OUT LOUD AT THE FIERY BIRD VENUE THURSDAY 24 OCTOBER
Hello All
Our special guest this month is Trisha Broomfield and she will be reading from and discussing her new book ‘My Acrostic Mother’ which is a sequence of acrostic poems featuring everyday aspects of her mother’s life in the 50s to 70s – from football pools to Fight the Flab. It is illustrated by Heather Moulson. As Heather Cook says in her review ’There is humour, love and heart-tugging poignancy in this very special collection.’
Trisha is a third of The Booming Lovelies along with Heather Moulson and myself and we have an afternoon show coming up on Tuesday November 5th in the cellar bar of the Spice of Life Soho (some of you might be familiar with it as the venue for Poems not Bombs) in case anyone would like to catch our London debut!
